On the #TOBcommunity spotlight this week, we’d like to introduce you to Vicky Pasion. A recording artist, entrepreneur and activist who has captivated audiences since a young age - from London’s West End, as young Nala in ‘The Lion King’, to the 02 Academy. She’s also the co-founder of Gifted, By Nature - a production team and community, rooted in consciousness, creativity and compassion.
How do you / your organisation support and celebrate marginalised people?
As an artist, I recognised very early on in my career that we need more safe spaces for women, especially women of colour, in the creative industry. So, in all of my projects to date, I’ve prioritised opening up opportunities for women to collaborate and to feel empowered in the creative process. This led to being the Co-Founder of ‘Gifted, by Nature’ - a production house and community rooted in consciousness, creativity and compassion. We strive to share underrepresented stories in all our productions. During the lockdown, we held virtual spaces for our global community for conversations around mindfulness, sustainability and joy.
What can we expect from you in the coming months?
My single ‘Let Go’ is available now! It’s a chilled, meditative record for any RnB/Soul fan. The vibe teases my sophomore EP - a project that seeks to heal, soothe and trigger feelings of nostalgia and love. After a tense year of uncertainty, fear and loss - I hope my music opens up space to slow down, reflect and blossom. Follow me on a major streaming platform to ride this wave with me. With ‘Gifted, by Nature’ there’s so much here and ahead! We’ve recently been Shortlisted for an Innovation Award supported by Bloomberg Business, and are looking forward to holding irl events soon.

What’s your secret superpower?
I’m a badass meditator! I’ve been on five silent meditation ‘retreats’ - each trip has been a life-changing experience.
